Founded in 1990 as a home-based bike repair business by Paul Burgess, Mud Sweat and Gears expanded to its first retail location in Sherwood Park in 2006, and now operates eight stores across Alberta (Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, Red Deer, Edmonton West, and Edmonton South). The Red Deer location opened in 2016 and carries Evil, Kona, Santa Cruz, Cervelo, Rocky Mountain, Norco, and Transition bikes alongside ski and snowboard inventory. All locations provide year-round bike service and repair.
