Mountain Works has been La Grande's bike, ski, climbing, and skate shop since 1978, operating as a Trek dealership since 1982. The Hartz family has owned and operated the store since 2006, emphasizing bicycles and outdoor activities as healthy solo and group pursuits for riders of all styles and abilities. The shop offers custom wheel building, full suspension service, boxed bike and e-bike assembly, and free accessory installation with in-store purchases, alongside rentals of Trek hardtail and full-suspension mountain bikes plus fat bikes.
