More Better Bikes began in 2017 as a garage operation founded by Dr. Kim Skattum, a retired pastor, and has grown into a storefront at the Crossroads Community Center in Northglenn's Westside. The shop accepts donated bicycles regardless of condition, restores usable frames to working order, and parts out damaged bikes to supply low- or no-cost repairs. Operating with 15 paid student staff and 8 volunteer mechanics, the shop serves people of all income levels with tune-ups, wheel building, brake service, drivetrain work, and full suspension overhauls.
