About
Lincoln Bike Kitchen refurbishes donated bicycles and distributes them free to people in Lincoln facing financial or situational barriers, expanding access to safe, reliable bikes. Founded as a community-building organization, LBK advocates for utilitarian cycling as part of a healthy, equitable, and sustainable community. The shop offers basic repairs (adjustments, derailleur tuning, handlebar and seat adjustments, flat repairs) on Monday and Thursday evenings, and operates from 308 S. 21st Street with a staff led by Executive Director Shari Weiss Shanks, Shop Coordinator Wayne Schafer (a former bicycle shop owner with decades of experience), and volunteer mechanics.
