Question 1

What types of electric-assist systems does John's Trikes & Bikes install?

Accepted Answer

The shop carries both OEM systems pre-installed by manufacturers (such as Shimano STEPS on ICE and HP Velotechnik trikes, and Bosch Active Line on select TerraTrike models) and aftermarket KIT systems that can be installed on new or used trikes. The shop notes that while some KIT systems appear less expensive, they typically require substantial installation time due to adaptation needed for trike use, with the exception of the Superpedestrian Copenhagen Wheel system.
