Johnny Nerd Out has been crafting mid-drive e-bike conversions since 2017, opening its physical shop in Vancouver, WA in 2020. The founder began building and repairing e-bikes professionally after gaining experience as a head technician at multiple e-bike shops and brands. The shop carries Kona bikes and specializes in a curated selection of e-bike motor kits (CYC Photon Gen 2, Bafang BBS02, Toseven DM02, and others), batteries, brakes, and accessories, with in-house installation support and online sales.
