Question 1

Does In Velo Veritas offer bike fitting services, and what's included?

Accepted Answer

The shop provides Basic Fit Services for $150, which typically takes about an hour and includes saddle height and setback adjustment, knee-hip-ankle alignment correction, and upper body position tuning. The service includes 30 days of follow-up adjustments, and all bikes purchased from In Velo Veritas include a complimentary Basic Fit.

Question 2

What repair and maintenance services does the shop offer?

Accepted Answer

In Velo Veritas offers several service tiers: Bike Wash ($75), Race Prep ($150), Pro Tune ($225 with full diagnostics and adjustments), and Comprehensive Overhaul ($495 with complete disassembly and component inspection). The shop also handles custom work including wheel builds, dynamo system installations, and frame-up custom builds.

Question 3

Does In Velo Veritas build bikes custom, and how does the process work?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the shop performs frame-up builds where each component is selected individually. The fitting and build are included in the bike price, as the shop considers fit and proper assembly essential to the final result. Customers start with a consultation, may test demo bikes, then proceed to a complete fit before final assembly.

Question 4

What makes In Velo Veritas' approach to bike purchases different from other shops?

Accepted Answer

The shop emphasizes that fit and build are non-negotiable and included with every bike purchase, not sold separately. For higher-end purchases, the shop often swaps fit components like saddles, cranks, or handlebars to customize stock models, or builds entirely from frame up to ensure the bike matches the individual rider's needs.

Question 5

How are appointments scheduled for fitting and service at the shop?

Accepted Answer

Fitting appointments are scheduled outside regular shop hours to ensure focused, uninterrupted attention. For service and repair, customers should call or email to set up an appointment, or visit the shop in person for a conversation and to develop a maintenance plan.
