About
Hilo Bike Hub has served East Hawaii for 32 years, entering its 32nd year in 2025. Located at 318 East Kawili Street in Hilo, the shop carries Trek, Cannondale, and Shimano, and has been voted Best Bike Shop by the Tribune Herald 25 times. The shop specializes in adapting bikes to Hawaii Island's extreme climate and terrain: all adult bikes receive pro-build assembly with waterproof lubrication of hubs, bottom bracket, and bolts (1: 2 hours labor, valued $120: $240), plus pro-fitting for comfort and performance. New bikes include one year of free servicing. The shop also carries e-bikes from its three core brands and emphasizes torque (newton-meters) as the key spec for island climbing.
