Groody Bros. Bicycle Restoration was founded in 2009 by brothers Mark and David Rainey, who combined their cycling experience and knowledge of bicycle mechanics with resources from the family business Russell Steel in Kansas City, KS. The shop specializes in media blasting, custom powder coating, frame refinishing, and frame repair. In January 2020, after Russell Steel closed, Mark moved Groody Bros. to Topeka, KS, and now operates as a sole proprietor focused primarily on powder coating and media blasting services. The shop has completed over 1,000 bicycles and maintains a repeat-client base across a wide range of bicycle types and customer preferences.
