Founded in 1983, Grand Performance emerged from founder Steve Hed's basement wheel-building operation in the Twin Cities and remains a cornerstone of the region's cycling community under current owner Dan Casebeer, a former US national team racer and 1983 national hour-record holder. The shop carries Bianchi, Wilier, Colnago, Moots, and Kona across road, gravel, and mountain categories, with mechanics who command 50+ years of collective experience and have raced professionally with North American and European teams. Fitting is a core strength: the shop's fitters bring 70+ years combined expertise, and services include wheel building, hydraulic disk brake work, and crash inspections. Casebeer leads weekly group rides and mentors junior riders.
