Goldstream Sports opened in 2005 when owner Joel Buth, with extensive bike and ski experience, relocated to Fairbanks from Wisconsin to provide customer service grounded in personal use of the brands sold. The shop is located in the Goldstream valley near Ester Dome and carries Trek road, mountain, and fat bikes alongside Surly, 45NRTH, Teravail, Haro, Electra, and Shimano/SRAM components. The shop offers 24-hour bike service and custom fitting, added a running department in 2012, and participates in trail advocacy and safety programs including bike rodeos.
