Gear West was founded 27+ years ago in a 500-square-foot building in Long Lake, Minnesota, and has evolved through five locations to become a 15,000-square-foot family-owned specialty sports campus. The shop carries Trek, Cervelo, Santa Cruz, Felt, Gazelle, Surly, Intense, 45nrth, Teravail, Electra, and Shimano/SRAM components, and offers bike fitting, cross-country ski service, boot fitting, gait analysis, rentals, and a trade-in program. A separate 6,000-square-foot Alpine & Snowboard building (200 feet west) handles ski and board tuning and repair. All Gear West staff race, train, coach, or tour in the sports they represent.
