Exhale Bike traces its roots to 1990 when the original shop, Excellent Bikes, opened in North Phoenix. The current owner, Steve Lovejoy, took over in 2023 from previous owner Nate Andrews, who acquired and renamed the shop to Exhale Bikes in 2005 after building a reputation supporting local MBAA and NICA racing communities.
