Durham Bike Co-op is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Durham, NC that refurbishes donated bicycles, teaches hands-on repair and maintenance skills, and works to make biking accessible to the community. The co-op operates by appointment from its shop at 1612 Acadia Street and offers membership ($30/year) for access to tools and volunteer mechanic assistance, an earn-a-membership volunteering program, and community outreach clinics. It partners with other nonprofit organizations to provide affordable bicycles.
