Dirty River Bicycle Works opened in Akron to fill a gap in Downtown, leveraging the Towpath trail and gateway access to the Metroparks and National Park. The owner worked on and sold bikes for 17 years before opening the shop, studying repair, maintenance, and performance since 1999. The shop carries Surly, Salsa, All-City, Cannondale, 45nrth, Teravail, and other brands, with a stated focus on personal, thoughtful service and building bikes that make riders want to ride mile after mile.
