About
Chain Reaction Bicycles opened February 1, 1980, in Redwood City and remains under the same ownership and management. The shop carries Trek, Electra, Surly, 45nrth, Teravail, Shimano, and SRAM. It accepts general repairs on bikes sold by the shop (which include CR Care coverage) and manages a repair backlog during peak season; the shop declines service on illegal high-speed e-bikes but supports Class 1, 2, and 3 e-bikes from brands like Trek and Electra.
