Crank Works Bicycles opened in September 2011 in Brooksville, Florida, founded by Patricia Laird after years of competitive mountain biking and frustration finding quality service across the state. The shop has since expanded to a second location: Crank Works Bicycles Brick City: in downtown Ocala. It carries Specialized, Giant, Salsa, and Aventon bikes, and is staffed by Mark, a USA Cycling certified mechanic with decades of experience on nearly every brand, alongside other skilled repair staff. The shop emphasizes mechanics as central to customer service and personally tests products before stocking them.
