Question 1

What is Boomerang Bike's main product and service?

Accepted Answer

Boomerang Bike specializes in the CycloTrac, a self-contained GPS anti-theft device for bicycles that tracks location and movements, sends tamper alerts to a phone, and includes performance analytics features. The device operates on a $9.95 monthly subscription that covers hardware and cellular data.

Question 2

How does the CycloTrac anti-theft system work?

Accepted Answer

The CycloTrac mounts to a bike with anti-theft screws and triggers an audio alarm if the bike is moved or tampered with, while simultaneously sending an alert to the owner's smartphone. If a thief escapes with the bike, the GPS tracks the location to within 10 feet, provided there is cellular signal and the bike is outside a fully metal enclosure.

Question 3

Can the CycloTrac track things beyond bicycles?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the CycloTrac can track practically any item within cellular signal range and outside a non-fully metal enclosure, making it useful for securing other valuable possessions beyond bikes.

Question 4

Does the CycloTrac offer performance tracking features?

Accepted Answer

In addition to anti-theft capabilities, the CycloTrac records miles ridden, training time, calculates gas savings from cycling, tracks carbon offset, and can monitor multiple family members' bikes through an easy-to-understand interface.
