Blue Wheel Bicycles opened in 1973 in Charlottesville and has spent 50 years building a reputation for bicycle repair across all types: mountain, road, hybrid, gravel, cyclocross, and e-bikes. The shop carries Specialized, Santa Cruz, 45nrth, Juliana, Surly, Teravail, Shimano, and Sram. Staff include Scott Paisley, a cyclocross masters champion and custom frame builder, and Paul Buschi, an ex-pro mountain bike racer. Blue Wheel is part of the Rocktown Bicycles family but maintains Charlottesville-based ownership and operation, and hosts regular group rides including a Tuesday shop ride from Biscuit Run.
