Wheelworks has operated in the greater Boston area since 1977, with the Belmont location established in the early 1980s in Waverley Square. The 8,000-square-foot Belmont showroom stocks road, mountain, gravel, kids, e-bike, tandem, and cargo bikes from Specialized, Cannondale, Orbea, Santa Cruz, Pinarello, Cervelo, Surly, All-City, Juliana, Yeti, and others. The shop is home to Peter Mooney Cycles, a custom hand-built frame builder operating continuously at the location. Wheelworks operates three locations (Belmont Wheelworks, ACE Wheelworks in Somerville, and Wheelworks TOO kids/tandem specialist in Belmont) and offers Park Tool School repair classes, tandem expertise, and carries brands including 45NRTH, Gazelle, Haro, Teravail, and Frog.
