Founded in 1995 by Adrian, a professional bassoonist who began building bikes in his garage, Adi's Bike World opened its first retail location in West Roxbury, MA and marked its tenth anniversary in 2011. The shop carries Shimano components and stocks road, mountain, recreational, and kids' bikes. Services include complete tune-ups (with 30-day warranty), overhauls with hub and headset repacking (90-day warranty), safety checks for adult and kids' bikes, and electric-bike tune-ups. Adrian continues performing and teaching music while running the shop; his father Val, formerly a driver for the German Embassy in Romania, joined as co-owner and is known for his repair expertise and multilingual customer rapport.
