Bearings Bike Works, based in Southwest Atlanta for 15 years, uses bikes as a vehicle for youth workforce development and skills training. The shop operates a full-service community bike shop five days a week, selling restored and refurbished bikes alongside repair services, with revenues supporting teen and young-adult workforce training programs in bike mechanics and soft skills. Located along the Atlanta BeltLine Westside Trail, Bearings serves hundreds of youth annually through earn-a-bike programs, youth cycling and mountain biking groups, and a job-training initiative called Frameworks.
