About
Wyganowski Frames, based in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, builds custom bicycles, unicycles, and giraffes in steel and stainless steel, drawing on a frame-building lineage dating to 1936 through predecessors Tim Paterek, Terry Osell, and Cecil Behringer. Paul Wyganowski has been building frames since 1989 and emphasizes frame repair as heavily as new construction; he was the first builder in Minnesota to work with aerospace-grade stainless steel and pioneered properly sized unicycle frames, 700c and 36-inch touring unicycles, pull-apart giraffes, and braking systems for unicycles beginning in 1995. His background as a competitive amateur racer (1984: 1999) informs custom geometry work, and he brings decade-plus expertise in wheel building and bike servicing.
