About
Founded in April 1968 when Dwight Butler and his brother Charlie traveled to ski Utah's powder, Wasatch Touring opened in 1972 and has operated continuously from Salt Lake City. The shop carries Specialized, Surly, Teravail, Shimano, and SRAM across bikes and components. Beyond bicycles, Wasatch Touring operates as a three-sport outfitter for backcountry skiing, Nordic touring, whitewater kayaking, and mountain biking, with in-house repair and service for bikes, skis, and drysuits. The shop emphasizes a service-first model, offering tune-ups ranging from basic adjustments to Premium Road ($330) and Premium MTB ($420) annual services, suspension servicing for Fox and Rockshox, wheel building, and custom bike builds.
