Walt's Bike Shop has served Columbia, MO continuously since 1967, founded by Walt Gerard after learning from British mechanics during European tours and establishing the local Boone's Lick Bicycle Club. Now owned by longtime employees Mark Bendel and Sarah Ashman following Frank Morris's stewardship, the shop carries Surly, All-City, Salsa, Trek, Electra, 45NRTH, and Shimano/SRAM components from a Rogers Street location that expanded in 1994. The shop offers general repairs with a lifetime free tune-up policy on new purchases, e-bike service (including Bosch, Shimano STEPS, and other authorized brands), and mechanical work on most brands regardless of origin.
