Founded in 2016 by Kiley and Alissa Sutter, Velo Garage and Tap House combines a bike shop with a craft beer bar at 1403 Swift Street in North Kansas City. The shop emerged from years of traveling the country by VW camper exploring bike shops fused with beer culture, and claims to be the first of its kind in the KC metro. It carries All-City, Surly, Aventon, Benno, 45NRTH, Teravail, Shimano, and SRAM, with mechanics offering over 15 years of experience in repair and service. The space hosts cycling and music events alongside the rotating craft beer selection, positioning itself as a gathering place for the local cycling community.
