Founded in 1976 by Bob Rosso and named for the rock face above Saddleback Lakes in the Sawtooth Mountains, The Elephant's Perch is now locally owned and operated by six community-rooted outdoor enthusiasts. Located in Ketchum, it carries Pinarello, Salsa, Specialized, and Shimano alongside its cross-country skiing, backpacking, and climbing inventory. The shop actively supports the Boise Foothills Recreational District, Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation, the Miles of Smiles kids-bike program, and the Boulder Mountain Tour XC race.
