The Bike Shop has operated as a family business in Redding since 1978, when Rex and Pegi Cooper purchased it; their son Ryan and his wife Tracey now run the operation with daughters Jorja and Sara. The shop carries Trek bikes across road, mountain, electric, and commuter categories, along with brands including 45nrth, Electra, Shimano, Sram, and Teravail. Services include daily repair work suited to north-state climate and terrain, Trek Project One custom builds, and bicycle fitting; Ryan is certified in bike fitting and learned mechanics from his father. The shop serves both new riders discovering local trail systems and accomplished athletes, including those training for triathlons and national/world championships.
