The Alpineer operates year-round at the four-way stop on Elk Avenue in downtown Crested Butte, shifting focus between winter (ski, snowboard, custom boot fitting) and summer (bikes, camping gear, rentals). During summer months it functions as a full-service bike shop carrying Santa Cruz, Trek, Juliana, Electra, Shimano, SRAM, and Teravail, offering rentals from e-bikes to mountain bikes, custom wheel building, comprehensive tune and overhaul services, suspension fork and rear shock service, and bike packing/camping gear. It is part of the Christy Sports family, operating across multiple Colorado and Utah locations.
