Founded in 1971, Sunshine Bicycle Center is an independent shop in Fairfax, California, at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais: the birthplace of mountain biking: with direct access to Repack downhill, Camp Tamarancho, and West Marin road riding. It stocks Ibis, Orbea, Trek, Electra, and other brands across mountain, electric, gravel, road, commute, and kids bikes, with a service department that has completed 400,000+ repairs. The shop offers demo rentals on Ibis, Orbea, and Trek models, and hosts group rides and brand demo events; owner Martin Hansen has been the chief mechanic since 1978.
