Stoic Wheels is a Portland-based wheel-building specialist founded in 2016 by Brian Pagel, who brought 18+ years of professional bike shop experience and formal UBI training to the operation. The shop builds custom wheels to within 5% tension variance and has expanded beyond wheel building to offer full-service repair across all bike types: BMX to road, full suspension to electronic shifting: positioning itself as a problem-solving space for Portland cyclists. Pagel also builds wheels wholesale for local shops and bike brands.
