SouthPaw Cycles is owned by Clemson locals Erik and Jen Nielson and operates from 164 E Main St in Pendleton, SC. Erik brings 18 years of cycling-industry experience with expertise in mechanics, sales, and fitting; he races endurance mountain bikes and participates in local group rides. Jen, a Clemson University alumna, races mountain bikes and also rides road and gravel. The shop carries Giant, Liv, and Pivot bikes plus clothing, accessories, and nutrition, and offers bike sales, repairs, and fitting services. Clemson offers over 60 miles of trails between Issaqueena and Fants Grove, and the shop serves Clemson University faculty and students as well as local residents.
