Question 1

Does Scooter's Bike Shop offer professional bicycle fitting services?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Scooter's has a fully equipped fitting area with staff certified by Specialized Bicycle Components University (SBCU). The shop offers three service levels ranging from $95 to $350, with Level 1 including brake and shifting adjustments, Level 2 adding deep cleaning and wheel truing, and Level 3 providing complete disassembly and parts replacement.

Question 2

What types of e-bikes does Scooter's service?

Accepted Answer

Question 3

Can the shop order bikes or parts that aren't in stock?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Scooter's can special-order bikes and parts not currently available. Customers can also order directly from Specialized, Cannondale, or Trek online and have the bikes delivered to the shop for assembly; note that Specialized bikes carry an additional $45 freight charge.

Question 4

What is the history behind Scooter's Bike Shop?

Accepted Answer

Scooter's was founded on July 15, 1975, by Scott 'Scooter' Landes, who was inspired to open the shop during a six-week cross-country bike tour. Question 5

Accepted Answer

Yes, the shop performs custom wheel builds as part of its repair and service offerings. Mechanics have factory training and specialized tools to handle this work along with repairs ranging from flat tires to complete overhauls.
