Schleptastic, founded by engineer Jonah Elgart, develops the Tow Monster: a patent-pending attachment that allows adults to tow children's bikes (12" to 24" wheels) and cargo from standard rear racks. Sales began in fall 2023. The company was born from Elgart's own need to keep commuting by bike with three young children and emerged with support from the Boston bike community. The Tow Monster works with Urban Arrow, Bunch, Trek Fetch+4, Yuba, Riese & Müller, and standard bikes fitted with Topeak, Axiom, or Thule racks.
