Founded in 1995 by Dave Guettler after scouting with Specialized founder Mike Sinyard, River City Bicycles operates as a 30-year independent shop with two Portland locations: the original flagship on MLK Jr. Boulevard and a dedicated e-bike store on Belmont. The MLK shop carries Specialized, Cannondale, Cervelo, Santa Cruz, Giant, Yeti, Juliana, Liv, All-City, Surly, Salsa, 45NRTH, and Teravail, with a full-service repair department, indoor test track, and custom wheel building. The Belmont location specializes in e-bikes across city, road, mountain, and gravel models. River City has been recognized multiple times in Willamette Week's Best of Portland readers' poll and BRAIN's Top 100 Bicycle Retailers.
