Question 1

What bikes does REEB Cycles manufacture?

Accepted Answer

REEB Cycles builds custom steel and aluminum mountain bikes in-house, including hardtails (Re:Dikyelous and Hall Pass), the Sam's Pants gravel/adventure bike, and full-suspension models (STEEZL and SST). All frames are handcrafted using materials such as Columbus Zona tubing and aerospace-grade 3D-printed components, with options for both USA-made and Taiwan-built versions.

Question 2

Can customers watch bikes being built or visit during the manufacturing process?

Accepted Answer

Yes. REEB keeps design and fabrication close to the trails where bikes are tested and does not operate behind closed doors. Customers are invited to stop by the shop, meet the team, and watch bikes being made.

Question 3

Does REEB Cycles host group rides or community events?

Accepted Answer

REEB regularly holds open house group rides and attends events across the country. The shop also operates the Hooptie Bike Lounge at its Longmont location, which serves as a full-service bike shop and social space for the community.

Question 4

What is the origin story of REEB Cycles?

Accepted Answer

REEB was founded in 2011 by Dale Katechis, a legendary craft brewer. The name is 'beer' spelled backwards, and the company's philosophy centers on the craftsmanship spirit: Dale started the company after his bike was stolen and he decided against buying an overseas catalog bike. The focus is on handmade, durable bikes built to last and unique for each customer.

Question 5

Does REEB offer custom frame building services?

Accepted Answer

REEB specializes in handcrafted, custom bike builds. Customers can work with the team to craft their ideal ride, with options including customizable American-made frames and hand-built models, ensuring each bike is perfectly tuned and ready to ride.
