Founded in 1991 by Lynn Shoup, Rage Cycles has been a Scottsdale fixture for 35 years, originally known among avid mountain bikers for stocking the era's cutting-edge builders (Mantis, Gazelle, Ritchey, Manitou). Now located at 6425 East Thomas Road near the Cross-Cut Canal bike path, it carries Pivot, Santa Cruz, Juliana, Kona, Salsa, Revel, Electra, and Surly alongside Shimano components. Beyond retail, Rage hosts group rides, product demos, and community events; its backyard pump track in Old Town Scottsdale became a signature gathering space, and the current larger location on the canal path supports an expanded event calendar.
