Question 1

What services does Perkiomen Bicycles offer beyond bike sales?

Accepted Answer

The shop provides repairs, bike fit service, rentals, and restorations. Brake and derailleur adjustments are available as lifetime free service on bikes purchased there; additional parts after the factory warranty period incur extra costs.

Question 2

Does Perkiomen Bicycles ship bikes, and what is the cost?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the shop offers bike shipping at a flat rate of $195.00, which includes professional boxing, labeling, and insurance via UPS Ground. Some bike brands may not be shippable due to dealer agreements.

Question 3

What is the return policy for items purchased from Perkiomen Bicycles?

Accepted Answer

Items must be in original, unused condition and returned within 30 days. A 10% restocking fee is deducted from refunds, and original shipping costs are not refunded. Clothing exchanges for different sizes or colors in like-new condition avoid the restocking fee but require the customer to pay return shipping.

Question 4

What makes the in-store experience at Perkiomen Bicycles unique?

Accepted Answer

The shop maintains a lounge area with free coffee, popcorn, and water. The space features new and used bikes on the floor, a wide selection of bike parts in a junkyard section, and vintage bikes, knick-knacks, and bike-related artwork throughout the store.

Question 5

Does Perkiomen Bicycles offer a free bike fitting with purchases?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the shop provides a free basic bike fitting with any new or used bike purchase.
