Cherohala Cycles & Supplies opened in February 2020 in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, founded by Steve and Sharron Thompson to serve the growing number of cyclists drawn to the Tellico Mountains' roads and gravel routes. The shop evolved during the pandemic into a dual operation: Cherohala Cycles continues to stock tubes, CO2 canisters, patch kits, lights, helmets, and cycling apparel including custom jerseys from Ascend Sportswear, while its sister business Mountaintop Collectibles: built on Sharron's heritage of handmade crafts: occupies the same location inside the Museum Marketplace at the Charles Hall Museum & Heritage Center in Tellico Plains.
