Founded in 1972 by Dutch entrepreneurs Gus and Chris, Midwest Cyclery returned to family ownership in May 2015 when Bob and Christina Baanders-Decker took over, continuing the shop's focus on expertise and generalist service. Located in Kansas City, the shop carries Giant, Gazelle, Liv, Bianchi, and Momentum bicycles alongside Shimano components and a broad range of accessories from brands including Kuat, Thule, Garmin, and Pearl Izumi. Services include general repairs and tune-ups for all bike types and brands, electric bike service, and pickup/delivery; the shop also stocks adaptive trikes and specialized gear for riders across disciplines.
