Andy Lowe opened LoweRiders Action Sports in Downingtown's Mini Mall in May 2002, initially focused on BMX, skateboard, snowboard, and inline skate equipment. The shop relocated to Lancaster and Green Street and expanded into road and mountain bikes, reflecting Lowe's passion for local trails including Struble Trail, Marsh Creek State Park, and Brandywine River. LoweRiders carries 45nrth, Breezer, Fuji, Surly, and Teravail alongside BMX brands Fit, Kink, and Eastern, and offers full bike service, e-bike service, rentals (hybrid/comfort bikes and winter sports equipment), and trade-ins. As an independent business, the shop has led advocacy for the Downingtown Skate Park and hosts Saturday morning skateboard clinics at Kerr Park.
