Lancaster Recumbent opened in December 2014 as a family-owned shop founded by Scott and Diane after Scott discovered recumbent riding in Colorado and returned to Lancaster County unable to find in-stock models to test ride. Located in Marietta, PA, a block and a half from the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail, the shop specializes in recumbent trikes, semi-recumbent cycles, handcycles, and adaptive cycles for riders with special needs. Services include custom fittings, specialty adaptive builds, test rides, repairs for recumbent and traditional upright cycles, and maintenance for strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers. Scott is a Barnett Bicycle Institute certified mechanic and League of American Bicyclists Safety Instructor; the shop is experienced and certified in adaptive cycling modifications.
