Question 1

Does Ken's offer bike rentals?

Accepted Answer

Ken's rents select demo bikes by advanced reservation only, including demo road bikes with carbon wheels and electronic shifting, demo mountain bikes suitable for Northern California trails, and demo e-bikes. Customers should call ahead to reserve.

Question 2

What ski and snowboard boot fitting services does Ken's provide?

Accepted Answer

Ken's offers free consultation and basic boot adjustments with the purchase of ski or snowboard boots. The shop employs experienced fitters who assess foot anatomy, stance, and balance, and as of December 2025, Ken's offers custom footbeds using the MasterFit Instaprint QF Snow system.

Question 3

What is Ken's boot fit guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Ken's guarantees that boots purchased from the shop will fit comfortably while skiing or boarding. If significant discomfort arises after purchase or during break-in (minimum 3 days of use), the shop will make fit accommodations such as custom padding, heel lifts, or liner stretching at no extra cost. In rare cases where accommodations fail, Ken's may credit the full purchase price toward another pair of ski boots from stock.

Question 4

How long should a customer plan to spend at Ken's for a professional boot fitting?

Accepted Answer

Customers should plan to spend about an hour for a boot fitting consultation. It is recommended to bring favorite socks and any previously owned boots to help the fitter make a more informed recommendation.

Question 5

What does Ken's ship bikes and offer in terms of shipping costs?

Accepted Answer

Ken's offers free shipping on orders over $99 and a $149 flat-rate shipping option for bikes.
