Question 1

What types of bikes does Islabikes currently sell?

Accepted Answer

Islabikes offers small-batch children's bikes, including the Cnoc range for ages 3–5 and an upcoming gravel bike model called Rosetta. The shop also stocks spare parts and accessories. Mass production has ended; the company now releases very limited one-off batches of new bikes alongside its core focus on spare parts and warranty support.

Question 2

Does Islabikes ship orders, and is there a delivery cost?

Accepted Answer

Islabikes offers free delivery on all orders placed through its official store.

Question 3

What should a customer do if they own a recalled Islabikes fork?

Accepted Answer

Islabikes issued a safety recall for forks on Beinn 24, 26, 27 and Creig 20 models purchased between October 5, 2019 and May 16, 2022. Customers can check the Islabikes website to determine if their bike is affected and contact the shop by phone (+44 1584 708 383, usually open 9am–5pm Monday–Thursday) or email (info@islabikes.co.uk) for assistance.

Question 4

What is the history and current status of Islabikes?

Accepted Answer

Islabikes was founded in 2005 and became a leading name in premium children's bikes over two decades. In 2023, the company underwent a major reset, discontinuing mass production but remaining solvent and trading. The founder reacquired majority ownership and intentionally downsized the business to focus on spare parts, honouring guarantees, and completing a fork recall. The shop continues to release small batches of thoughtfully designed bikes.

Question 5

Does Islabikes design bikes for riders with specific needs?

Accepted Answer

Islabikes has a history of inclusive design work. In 2018, the company created a range tailored to older riders' changing physical needs. In 2021, it launched a UK-manufactured range specifically designed for members of the Dwarf Sports community, developed through years of collaboration with the Dwarf Sports Association.

Question 6

What information does Islabikes need to provide technical support?

Accepted Answer

For technical support, customers should provide the bike model and frame number (stamped under the pedals), order number or purchaser details, a full description of the issue with photos or video if possible, and a contact telephone number. This information should be emailed to info@islabikes.co.uk.
