Founded in 2009 in San Francisco by Hall of Fame BMX athlete and master mechanic Chris Duncan, Hoopty Bikes relocated to Los Angeles in 2015 and specializes in mobile repair and assembly. The shop services Trek, Specialized, Giant, Cannondale, KHS, Rad Power, Aventon and others, handling mountain bikes, road bikes, e-bikes, hybrids, commuters, single speeds, urban, BMX, cruisers, and kids bikes. Services include tune-ups, brake jobs, bike fitting, overhauls, detailing, rust removal, restorations, and out-of-box builds at $95/hr plus parts (1-hour minimum), with no mobile fees currently. All work is by appointment, including 24-hour availability.
