Founded in 1993 by three Murray State graduates, Craig Sims, Dean Cherry, and Dave Hinkle, Hooper's Outdoor Center occupies a 5,500 sq ft space in downtown Paducah and carries Aventon, Pedego, Radio Flyer, and Rad Power e-bikes alongside apparel and gear from North Face, Columbia, and Patagonia. The shop offers bicycle and gear rentals (day-pass and 24-hour options) and emphasizes personalized, trained staff service across camping, hiking, kayaking, cycling, and rock climbing. Named after founder Craig's chocolate lab, the store remains under leadership of his widow Vicki, co-founder Dean, and their son Adam.
