About
Founded in 1964 by Gene Hill as a lawn mower and bicycle shop, Hill's Sport Shop has grown into the largest bicycle retailer in Amarillo and a recognized presence across West Texas. The shop carries Trek, Cervelo, Electra, Aventon, 45NRTH, and Teravail, with services including repairs, tune-ups, and complete builds. Hill's has a 40-year history of sponsoring local racing teams and was instrumental in developing Palo Duro Canyon's modern trail system and hosting the first mountain bike races there (1993: 1998); from 1984 to 1992, the shop organized the Hill's Hundred road tour, which drew over 600 riders at its peak.
