Question 1

Does Hardt Family Cyclery service all e-bike brands?

Accepted Answer

No. The shop provides certified e-bike maintenance only for Bosch, Shimano, and Flyer e-bike systems due to safety requirements and insurance policies. Service, diagnostics, and repairs cannot be performed on other e-bike brands or aftermarket conversion kits.

Question 2

What should a customer know about repair pricing at Hardt Family Cyclery?

All bikes must be assessed in person for an accurate quote and turnaround time, as prices vary depending on the bike's condition, parts, and specific needs. The shop encourages customers to stop by anytime for an in-person evaluation and walkthrough of options.

Question 3

Does Hardt Family Cyclery buy or sell used e-bikes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The shop offers trade-ins for e-bike brands it sells and partners with UpWay to purchase additional used e-bikes, allowing it to maintain a rotating selection of quality used e-bikes for customers seeking more affordable options.

Question 4

What makes Hardt Family Cyclery's approach to flat repairs distinctive?

Accepted Answer

When fixing a flat, the shop includes Muc-Off sealant in every tube at no extra charge and carefully inspects both the tire and rim to help prevent future flats, not just replacing the tube.

Accepted Answer

The shop has spent over five years dedicated to educating and inspiring customers about the joy of bicycles, with a stated commitment to creating an inclusive and joyful bicycling community through knowledgeable staff, detailed product information, events, and community building.
