About
Green Chile Bike Bank is a volunteer-run nonprofit in Pueblo, Colorado that collects donated bicycles, repairs them, and distributes them to community members in need. Founded by cyclists with experience in social services, the organization operates Tuesday evening repair nights (6:30: 8:30pm) where volunteer mechanics perform repairs for clients, from quick flats to major overhauls, while some volunteers are former or current clients themselves. Since its inception, GCBB has restored and distributed over 650 bikes and performs hundreds of repairs annually, prioritizing mobility access and sustainability for those experiencing economic hardship or homelessness.
