Founded in 2007 as a volunteer-run collective on Barre Street, Freeride Montpelier became a worker self-directed non-profit (501(c)(3)) in 2021. The shop offers affordable refurbished bikes, new and used parts, DIY and drop-off repair, and seasonal maintenance education, all on sliding-scale pricing with no one turned away for lack of funds.
